Holiday Break Update

Hi, everyone! Long time no see/talk. Hope all is well in your respective necks of the woods?!!

It's certainly not to early to start thinking about and preparing for our back-to-school week (not to mention the end of the semester) coming up here. Please check out the newly updated "important dates"  and "weekly schedule" links to the right in order to do just that.

As for this two week break that we're in the midst of, you all had NO REQUIRED HOMEWORK…just to be clear. English 9a students, feel free to read/work ahead in Romeo and Juliet though!

**Eng. 10a: All Tuesdays WRITING (paragraphs) and RESEARCH DUE MONDAY! Be prepared to present Tuesdays research in class on Monday as well.

Some reminders at this point heading into tomorrow/Monday:

**Eng. 10a: Be ready to officially kick off a week's worth of Tuesdays research starting tomorrow/Monday. Also, take note that you need to be finished with the book as well as the written paragraph study questions by THIS COMING FRIDAY as well! Finally, QUIZ TOMORROW OVER CAPITALIZATION!!

**Eng. 9a: Read/Take notes regarding Romeo and Juliet Act 1:2 (the second scene) by the time you get to class tomorrow/Monday. Also, be ready for a Spelling, etc. QUIZ FIRST THING IN CLASS TOMORROW!

Greetings, everyone! I hope the long holiday weekend has been great for all?? I know it was on my neck of the woods. Lots of driving/traveling but all worth it! And now….back to business :)

Reminders as we head into tomorrow:

Eng. 10a: Reading ahead in Tuesdays was optional this past holiday weekend. Be prepared to jump back into that text tomorrow (Monday) and also start a new grammar/capitalization unit (L.02).

Eng. 9a: Be prepared with your personal copy of Romeo and Juliet in your possession tomorrow (Monday) as we will be officially starting that story in class! Also, have your spelling, etc. handout with you as well since we'll be continuing with Unit 2 this coming week.

**Eng. 10a: You should be continuing your prep work for Hamlet "performances"…now to be done on Wednesday of this coming week. Also, you have your second "short story" from the textbooks due first thing Monday…quiz now on Tuesday.

**Eng. 9b: The A.Farm test we were to have last Thursday will now be given first thing this coming Monday. Also, the roots quiz has now been shifted to this coming Wednesday. Finally, keep in mind a fiction book (225 pgs. or above, etc.) that you may want to read for our upcoming "Choice Novel" project!

I hope all of you have had a restful, meaningful, quality Break? I know I have!
