(Early) Weekend Update...

Hi, everyone. I thought i'd check in a bit earlier this time in order to update/clarify some things as we head into a shortened (yet very important) week.

First, check out the weekly schedule and important date links in order to be clear on English 9-related information. You'll notice that we do NOT have school next Thursday and Friday due to parent/teacher conference week (Monday and Tuesday 6-9 PM).

Second, regarding our Research Projects, remember that the ROUGH DRAFT IS DUE ON MONDAY AT THE BEGINNING OF THE HOUR. Be ready to do some editing/revising that day in order to start finalizing the final draft. Since you should be all hooked up to google and you also have each others' contact information, completing that rough draft shouldn't be a problem this weekend.

Finally, ALL RESEARCH-RELATED ITEMS (NOTE CARDS, OUTLINES, FINAL DRAFTS) ARE DUE ON TUESDAY, AND THE IN-CLASS PRESENTATIONS ARE THAT DAY AS WELL.

Let me know if you need anything, guys! Take care...Go State.

**Remember that 15 "big" note cards and 3 "small" note cards are DUE FIRST THING MONDAY! If you go to the "Michigan eLibrary" site in order to access the databases, you might need to prove that you're a Michigan resident. A valid driver's license # should do. Let me know if you questions/concerns about the research in general this weekend!

Take care, everyone. Go State! :)

Medical update...

Hey, everyone. Thanks for the work with Mr. J today, once again.

My "procedure" in Detroit went fairly well today despite a few complications. I'm actually writing you from Detroit right now as I (and my still-recovering wife) am not fit to drive anywhere after the day. Soooooooo, it looks like I will be absent from school tomorrow (Wednesday) again.

Please continue to make as much head-way in Romeo and Juliet as possible in class. You'll be watching more of the new version of the film tomorrow...enjoy!

Reminder: ACT III notes are due tomorrow (Wednesday) as well. The sub WILL collect this assignment!

Weekend Update...

Hi, everyone! The Robinson clan made it back home safe and sound from the hospital late this morning...all is well although, Mom is still in pain.

I hope everything's been going well with Mr. J! And HOPEFULLY you're handling Romeo and Juliet all right! Remember, avoid the typical frustration with Shakespeare. It'll get easier, I promise.

I'll be back to class on Monday, and we'll spend that day doing a bunch of review in order to "catch up"...for me and for you guys!

Please check out the updated "weekly schedule" and "important dates" links to the right in order to fully prepare for next week.

Have a good weekend, all!

Baby News!

It's a GIRL! hahahaha....Quinn Nora Robinson, born this morning at 1:54 A.M....10 lbs. and 2 ounces! Yikes...wife/mom is fine...everyone's fine. Thanks for all the thoughts and well-wishes!

First, please continue to check this site for updates/announcements/directions in addition to Mr. J in class.

You'll still be on the same schedule for this week, just with me not present. So STILL be prepared for that Punctuation/Shakespeare QUIZ on Friday and continue to make healthy progress in Romeo and Juliet (reading, note-taking, and essay brainstorming, etc.)

As of now, I will definitely be absent for class tomorrow (Thursday) and most likely on Friday. But again, keep checking this blog for updates!

Hope all is well, everyone.

Saturday, April 10, 2010

We're almost back!

Yippee, huh?! :)

Seriously though, i'm looking forward to seeing you all again and getting back down to business.

I hope that you guys have enjoyed your breaks and that you had safe traveling and a lot of fun with family/friends.

As for the Robinson household, STILL no baby news...the wife is ummmmmm...a bit impatient with the ol' baby at this point...just wants it to pop out already, ya know? Anyway, we're also all recovered (kind of) from the Spartan bball debacle a while back...I know you all care. :)

Regarding the class, check out the "weekly schedule" and "important dates" links to the right to review the upcoming week. It's time to jump right into Romeo and Juliet!

Take care!

PS. I suppose if you do NOT see me on Monday, it's due to upcoming baby news...fingers crossed.
